Love today is a blog hit....

How times change......'twas a sign of how loved you were depending on how full your letterbox was....and then times changed to how many voice messges you had recorded on your telephone voice mail when you were gone.....then came a time when you measured love by the number of emails in your inbox. Nowadays I believe its how many friends visit your blog page. And so we have new measures of love, caring and concern like page hit counters....some other thingamajigs with red dots that show the countries from where your blog has had hits. Also how many friends actually take time to comment on your blogs-another avenue of measuring the milk of human compassion.

We seek reassurance from faceless strangers to reinforce our faith in humanity. We seem to connect with flat screens and fonts rather than round faces and words.

hmmmm......very profound words. Sir, 'we believe in what we want to believe'. Technologies come and go, but relationships nurtured through care & understanding, flourish. One's identity ought not be lost in 'red dots'; rather it ought to be subsumed in the ocean of love.

Yessir I agree. Its just that I find this happening in my own life. And this is a phenomena which seems to be sweeping a generation brought up on screen fonts either as sms or as chat windows or as emails....whatever. We seem to be losing the art of having conversations.

It wouldn't say it is exactly love that is the relation joining you with your blog visitors, rather sense of joy that you feel when unknown men visit and appreciate what you write. A very good analysis, nevertheless. What happened to the "Extreme Sex" post. I wanted to comment on that and I find that it has been deleted by you...

The cynic that I am, I only see an emotional blackmail here. You want us to visit your blog more often! Send us all a link as soon as you post! :P
